Dobutamine Therapy

An intravenous form of inotropic therapy that is administered by an infusion pump to monitor the dosage of medicine.

Enteral Nutritional Support

A liquid nutritional supplement is administered directly to the gastrointestinal tract through a feeding tube.

Hydration Therapy

The replacement of fluids and electrolytes to the body.

Immune Therapy

Enhancement of the body's immune system via intravenous (IV) infusion or intramuscular vaccination. This therapy helps the body fight disease and infection.

Infusion Pumps

When receiving an intravenous (IV) solution, infusion pumps can time, infuse and flush IVs automatically.

Inotropic Therapy

This therapy works to increase the force of the heart muscle so it pumps harder. Used mainly for weak or injured hearts, the medication works to relax the blood vessels so blood can move more freely allowing patients to perform daily activities more easily.

Pain Management Medicine

Pain relief medicine is administered via a pump on a regular basis and is used for hospice patients or patients with chronic pain or post-surgery symptoms.

Pharmacokinetics

The study of the metabolism and action of drugs in the body.

Steroids

Chemical substances that are related in structure and contain the same chemical skeleton. Steroids closely resemble a hormone called cortisol that is produced by your adrenal glands. Used to treat inflammatory diseases and conditions, steroids reduce the immune system's activity and decrease inflammation.

TocolyticTherapy

This therapy works to prevent premature labor by halting contractions and slowing down the birth process.

Total Parenteral Nutrition (TPN)

Administration of supplemental nutrition intravenously (through the veins) for patients who are unable to digest or absorb food.
