Cardiovascular Disease

What is Cardiovascular Disease?
It is common to think of cardiovascular disease as narrowing of the arteries leading to the heart, or coronary artery disease. Coronary artery disease is one of many conditions affecting the structures or function of the heart and blood vessels. In addition to coronary artery disease, cardiovascular diseases also include heart failure, heart valve diseases, heart rhythm disturbances/arrhythmias and peripheral vascular diseases.
