Sleep Study (Polysomnography)
Comfortable Setting
Taking care not to alter your daily schedule, Condell Sleep Disorders Center offers overnight testing. You'll settle into one of the Center's comfortable bedrooms about two hours before your usual bedtime. Comfortable accommodations are available for parents of children under age 18.Once settled, an array of small buttons, wires and patches are adhered to you to gather sleep data. Before you fall asleep, relax while watching television or reading a book.
While you sleep, changes in breathing and levels of oxygen in the blood and muscle movement are gathered. Upon waking, enjoy a warm shower before leaving to start your day.
After the completion of your sleep study, you will meet with your physician or one of our sleep specialists to discuss the results of your test. Treatment options would then be discussed.
