Condell Medical Center Annual Benefit Gala A Success

LIBERTYVILLE, IL – There is no hiding the fact that this year’s annual benefit gala, “A Carnivale in Venice—A Venetian Masquerade,” was a successful fundraiser for the Auxiliary of Condell Medical Center. About 300 guests attended the 16th Annual Benefit Gala and enjoyed an evening of dining, dancing and friendship making—all for a good cause. Funds raised at this year’s event and through live and silent auctions will benefit cancer care services at the hospital.

This year’s gala raised nearly $170,000. The money will be invested in new technologies for cancer diagnosis and treatment to improve the survival and quality of life for Condell Medical Center’s cancer patients. Condell aims to give its patients the most comprehensive cancer care available when they need it, in a location close to home and their loved ones.

Condell Medical Center’s cancer care program received reaccredidation from the Commission on Cancer Care of the American College of Surgeons. One of only 25 percent in the U.S. to be approved, Condell Medical Center was recognized for its cancer patient continuum of care, including prevention, treatment, rehabilitation and long-term patient follow-up and support. The three-year reaccredidation applies to Condell’s inpatient services, outpatient infusion center, radiation oncology and surgical services. In addition, Condell’s Radiology Department is accredited by the American College of Radiology and licensed by the Illinois Department of Nuclear Safety.
