Free Cooking Class for Cancer Survivors
at Condell Medical Center
LIBERTYVILLE, IL—Good nutrition is paramount for cancer patients, but it can be difficult to eat properly when you're undergoing treatment. The popular Cancer Wellness Center is partnering with Condell Medical Center to host a free cooking demonstration and informational session tailored to the needs of cancer survivors and those undergoing treatment on Thursday, December 6. The session will be held at Condell Medical Center's Centre Club in Gurnee at 1405 Hunt Club Rd. from 5:30 to 7 p.m.
Professional chef Adrianne Felder, a cancer survivor, will present a cooking demonstration for holiday foods that takes into account the dietary needs of cancer patients. Afterwards, all guests will enjoy her delicious holiday fare. The presentation is open to anyone diagnosed with cancer and their loved ones.
Formed in 1989, the Cancer Wellness Center is dedicated to helping people with cancer live better. The Center holds meaningful activities that join people who are facing the same challenges as they cope with cancer.
