Elected to American Hospital Association Board
LIBERTYVILLE, IL — Condell Medical Center’s President and CEO Dennis C. Millirons, FACHE, was recently chosen by the American Hospital Association (AHA) to serve as a Section for the Metropolitan Hospitals Delegate to Regional Policy Board 5. The election term is through December 31, 2008.
The AHA is a national organization that represents and serves all types of hospitals, healthcare networks and their patients and communities. The Regional Policy Boards meet three times a year to discuss policy issues and alternatives. Their recommendations and analyses are used by the AHA Board and in its policy deliberations.
Millirons previously served on the board as an alternate delegate. “I am pleased to be able to continue to assist the American Hospital Association with priority policy issues,” he said. “I look forward to working with everyone on the board.”
Millirons is a noted advocate for using evidence-based medical practices throughout the hospital “Executing well-designed processes without waste results in positive outcomes for patients,” he said.” Recently, the National Research Corporation (NRC), a healthcare research firm, recognized Condell Medical Center among the nation’s top hospitals for quality and presented the hospital with a Consumer Choice Award following an independent survey of local residents.
