HOSPITAL AUXILIARY HOSTS EVENT TO FUND LAKE COUNTY’S FIRST PEDIATRIC EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT AT CONDELL MEDICAL CENTER
Saturday, April 19, Brunch “Incredible Power of Hypnotism”

LIBERTYVILLE, IL – Parents in Lake County can rest assured that when emergency care is needed, their children will be treated by doctors specially trained in pediatric emergency medicine when they choose Condell Medical Center.

Staffed by board-certified pediatric emergency medicine doctors, pediatric nurse practitioners, pediatric nurses and ED technicians, Condell Medical Center brings Lake County pediatric emergency specialists later this summer.

The State of Illinois has recognized Condell Medical Center through Emergency Department Approved for Pediatrics (EDAP) certification for providing the highest possible level of care for children in a child-friendly environment. This certification means that the staff is specially trained to care for pediatric emergencies.

Opening 2009: A specially designed Pediatric Emergency Department, separate from the adult Emergency Department. Built for children and outfitted with equipment chosen specifically for the comfort of pediatric patients and their families, the new ED will offer a sibling waiting area, televisions in every patient bay, and toys, games, puzzles to keep kids occupied.

The Auxiliary of Condell Medical Center is hosting “The Incredible Power of Hypnotism,” a champagne brunch featuring hypnotist Lee Darrow. Proceeds benefit construction of the new Pediatric Emergency Department expected to be completed in 2009. The event will be held at the Ivanhoe Club, 28846 N. Thorngate Drive, Ivanhoe.
